Pictures of Felt Ornaments

The girls have been really busy helping me make our felt ornaments. We currently have three shapes/colors finished. Our first one is our Brown Dog Bone that has our puppy's name on it.
The second one we have finished is our purple ornament.
And our final one is our Pink Heart.

Today we are working on a light blue rectangle that will look like a present and a snowman complete with a carrot nose, top hat, scarf and buttons.

Our Gender Reveal Party

We had our Gender Reveal Party yesterday with our family and friends. When everyone arrived they "signed in" on either the pink or blue paper indicating whether they thought it was a boy or a girl. These pages will be put in the baby's scrapbook. The tables were decorated in a very simple manner with a picture from the ultrasound on either a blue or pink piece of cardstock folded in the middle of the table. Don't worry, none of the pictures that were displayed indicated whether it was a boy or a girl!

The food table was separated into one side for blue food and one side for pink food. Our menu consisted of Puppy Chow with blue or pink m and m's in it, strawberry or blue jello coated popcorn, blue and pink dyed deviled eggs, shredded chicken sandwhiches on slider buns, veggie tray and pink lemonade or blue kool-aid.

Some people had to leave to travel back home early in the party so we decided to do cupcakes first, before we ate lunch. We took a bite of all of our cupcakes together and found out we are having...

Good News and Christmas Crafts

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving yesterday. Two days ago we had our ultrasound of baby #3 and are keeping some pretty exciting new a big secret until our gender reveal party on Sunday, November 25th (I will post pictures of the party afterward).

Back to our Christmas Crafts... We continue to work on our felt ornaments for our felt Christmas Tree. I didn't realize that it would take so much time to make 100 ornaments for 4 different trees. K has been very helpful and has designed most of them. We are only able to make about 15 at a time then have to leave them to dry.

Also, in the evening I have been working on preparing for my version of Letter of the Week that I plan to begin the beginning of the year. I have spent a lot of time on just the letter A and will keep all of you updated once we begin.

Happy Black Friday to all of you!

Giving Thanks!

This week is going to be a very busy week for our soon to be family of five! Today K and R have helped me get our felt Christmas trees and ornaments ready for our version of an advent calendar. With R, I am currently working on shapes and colors, so each color of felt is a different shape. We are decorating each shape to resemble something related to Christmas. I will post the pictures as soon as we finish decorating all 100 of them. We decided to also make a tree for their cousin and the new baby.
I also wanted to share some of the crafts that we did last week. I got both the snowman craft and the Gingerbread body from Target's dollar section. I did the gluing but she put everything where she wanted it and even had the genius idea of using skittles for the Gingerbread's nose.
